2024 marked the debut of Peaks Central Asian Film Festival. Now in its second year, Peaks invites audiences from Toronto and beyond to immerse themselves in a meticulously curated shorts program. This event is not just a viewing experience but a cultural gathering, offering an array of films that span the diverse landscapes of Central Asia. The festival recognizes the power of film as a medium that transcends borders, offering a glimpse into the diverse and vibrant cultures of the Central Asian region and serving as a platform for authentic storytelling. Our festival aims to showcase films from countries such as Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as regions designated by UNESCO as Central Asia. |
